Announcing the 2026 Cobb Schools Senior Scholarship

We are thrilled to announce the 2026 Senior Scholarship opportunity! This year, we are offering two scholarships per high school, with each scholarship valued at $2,000. These scholarships are designed to recognize and support outstanding seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to their community.Scholarship Details:


Scholarship Details:

  • Number of Scholarships: Two scholarships per high school
  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000 each
  • Eligibility: Open to all graduating seniors within the Cobb County School District
  • Application Window: October 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025
  • Deadline: January 31, 2025 by 11:59PM


Our goal is to support our talented students in their pursuit of higher education and help them achieve their dreams. We encourage all eligible seniors to apply and take advantage of this incredible opportunity!


Application Process:

The application process for the scholarship is straightforward and can be completed online. Here are the steps to follow:


  1. Click on the scholarship application link provided at the end of this page.
  2. Fill out the application form, including your personal information and academic achievements.
  3. Write a brief essay (word limit: 500 words) describing your perspective or experience on one of three questions.
  4. Submit your application before the deadline (December 31, 2025 at 11:59PM).


Selection Process:

A selection committee will carefully review all applications and essays to choose two deserving students from each high school. The selection process will be based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community service, and the strength of the essay.


Winners Announcement:

Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than March 13, 2026, and the awards will be presented at a special ceremony at each respective high school. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our scholarship winners and the bright futures that await them.

Dr. Kathie Elliott Educational Leadership Scholarship

Dr. Kathie Elliott devoted 33 years of dedicated service to the Cobb County School District, leaving a lasting impact on students, educators, and future leaders across the district. Her career began in the classroom as an elementary school teacher and evolved into school leadership, where she served as principal at Eastside Elementary, Varner Elementary, and Kennesaw Elementary. Along the way, Dr. Elliott also shared her expertise in Human Resources, supporting and strengthening the district from multiple perspectives. Even after retiring, Dr. Elliott’s passion for developing others never slowed. She continued to mentor and coach aspiring school leaders through Berry College and supervised student teachers through Kennesaw State University—ensuring that the next generation of educators was prepared, confident, and inspired. In honor of her remarkable legacy, the Dr. Kathie Elliott Scholarship was established to support current Cobb County School District employees who are continuing their educational journeys to advance professionally. This scholarship is designed to uplift those who are investing in their growth and expanding their impact within the district. Eligible applicants may be pursuing: A GED Paraprofessional certification Specialized credentials related to their current role Other educational pathways that enhance skills and career opportunities within CCSD Each scholarship award is $1,000 and may be applied toward tuition, certification fees, or other approved educational expenses. Applications are reviewed year-round, ensuring ongoing opportunities for professional development and advancement.
