The need for post-secondary scholarships continues to rise as a result of more students with aspirations for additional education and rising costs of tuition. Investing in Cobb students today helps secure the success and future of our strong community.

DELUXE ATHLETICS FEMALE STUDENT-ATHLETE
SCHOLARSHIP

The Deluxe Athletics Female Student-Athlete Scholarship is awarded to a female student-athlete who has been a success in the classroom and on the playing field.

Awards are made to graduating high school senior females who currently attend a high school in the Cobb County School District. Candidates should demonstrate dedication to both academic and athletic excellence and have evidence of financial need.

The Deluxe Athletics Female Student-Athlete Scholarship will provide up to $2,000 to help offset the cost of educational expenses including, but not limited to, tuition, housing, board or books. Scholarships will be awarded annually in early May.

MICHAEL D. POWEL 
AWARD

A memorial scholarship was set up in honor of Dr. Powell, who directed H.A.V.E.N Academy for 22 years. His memory and dedication to the H.A.V.E.N program, live on in the students who receive the scholarship. The scholarship is for current H.A.V.E.N students and provides additional family support that will expand opportunities for their child.

H.A.V.E.N. Academy provides comprehensive special education and support for students with Severe Emotional Behavior Disorders and Autism. The program serves students from Cobb County, Douglas County and the city of Marietta.

The Michael D. Powell Achievement Award is granted to three students: one elementary, one middle school and one high school.

The $250 award is based on citizenship, achievement and attendance. A H.A.V.E.N Academy staff member must recommend the applicant with a letter of recommendation indicating the candidate’s strong points, and why he/she should receive this award.

Supporting Student Success: Apply for 2025-2026 Scholarships

The Cobb Schools Foundation Scholarship will be presented to graduating seniors throughout our 17 high schools in the Cobb County School District.

Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to two students, per high school.

The application window will be from October 1, 2025 and the deadline is December 31, 2025.

Leslie Marie Walker and Ned Castleberry

Educational Scholarship



The Leslie Marie Walker and Ned Castleberry Educational Scholarship was established through a generous $200,000 gift from longtime Smyrna resident Ned Castleberry in memory of beloved Campbell High School English teacher Leslie Marie Walker. This scholarship honors Leslie’s lasting impact on her students and community by supporting up to eight graduating Campbell seniors each year with $5,000 scholarships. Recipients will demonstrate strong character, financial need, and a passion for pursuing a degree in English, Education, Journalism, or Communications at a public Georgia college, university, or technical school. This lasting tribute continues Leslie’s legacy and reflects Mr. Castleberry’s deep appreciation for the community that shaped his own success.

Sources of Strength

Scholarship


The 2025 Sources of Strength Scholarship is made possible through proceeds from the annual Miles for Mental Health virtual race. This scholarship recognizes 4 outstanding student leaders who have shown a deep commitment to promoting mental health, resilience, and peer support through the Sources of Strength program. These students have created meaningful change within their schools and communities, and the scholarship helps support their post-secondary education. By participating in Miles for Mental Health, our community helps celebrate and invest in the futures of these inspiring young leaders.

REACH

Scholarship


REACH Georgia is a needs-based mentoring and scholarship program designed to ensure that Cobb's academically promising students have the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate from high school and complete post-secondary education.


This partnership is designed to inspire young students to reimagine their educational pathway. The REACH Georgia Scholarship Program was designed to encourage post-secondary aspirations. This program is designed for students who demonstrate academic promise, who will receive an academic coach and mentor to assist through high school graduation.
