Leslie Marie Walker and Ned Castleberry
Educational Scholarship
The Leslie Marie Walker and Ned Castleberry Educational Scholarship was established through a generous $200,000 gift from longtime Smyrna resident Ned Castleberry in memory of beloved Campbell High School English teacher Leslie Marie Walker. This scholarship honors Leslie’s lasting impact on her students and community by supporting up to eight graduating Campbell seniors each year with $5,000 scholarships. Recipients will demonstrate strong character, financial need, and a passion for pursuing a degree in English, Education, Journalism, or Communications at a public Georgia college, university, or technical school. This lasting tribute continues Leslie’s legacy and reflects Mr. Castleberry’s deep appreciation for the community that shaped his own success.
