The Georgia Ballet is excited to announce performances of its annual holiday favorite The Nutcracker! Savor the joys of the season with family and friends as the timeless story unfolds. Our magical production features dancing candies, swirling snowflakes, mischievous mice, and even a Christmas tree that grows! There is no better way to begin your holidays than with The Georgia Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
Performances of The Georgia Ballet’s The Nutcracker will be held on December 3rd at 7pm, December 4th at 2pm and 7pm and December 5th at 1:30pm and 5:30pm at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre/Cobb Civic Center.
SPECIAL CELEBRITY PEFORMANCE – December 4th 7pm!
The Georgia Ballet is dedicated to Arts in Education and serves 16,000 Cobb and metro Atlanta school children each year through a variety of performance and residency programs. The Saturday evening performance of The Nutcracker will be a fundraiser to benefit our community’s public schools. For this special performance only, four community leaders will show their dedication to education by dancing with our professional company! Performing this year will be Fred Sanderson, Superintendent of the Cobb County School District; Dr. Emily Lembeck, Superintendent of Marietta City Schools; Rob Garcia, Chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and Executive Vice President of Bank of North Georgia; and Sandy Miller, Senior Vice President/CFO of Gas South and Chairman of Cobb Executive Women. You won’t want to miss this special evening!
Beneficiaries of the fundraiser will be the Cobb Schools Foundation and the Marietta Schools Foundation. $5 of each ticket purchased will be given back to the foundations. Ticket buyers may choose which foundation to benefit.
